“No one is born a manager. You grow based on preparation, effort and doing things well by putting passion into it”
This Friday the C-Suite Conference was held at EAE Business School Madrid, which consisted of a Workshop on Conflict Management in a Management Committee and later a round table with managers under the title: "Management and leadership : keys to success in companies” and which has been moderated by Goizeder Azúa. Journalist and producer and EAE Business School Alumni.
The round table was made up of different managers and EAE Alumni such as: Lorena Andrea Zenklussen, CEO of Comprarcasa Spain and EAE Alumni; Cristian Luciano Caggiano, Head of Business Development at Movistar+ and EAE Alumni; Isidro Loaiza, Vice President Operations, Spain at Enterprise Holdings; and María Teresa Pastor Martínez, Unit partner Talent & Culture BBVA and Alumni EAE Business School.
The round table began with the question of how to train to be a good manager, to which Maria Teresa replied that “no one is born a manager. You grow based on preparation, effort, doing things well and putting passion into it”. Likewise, she commented on the importance of team management within an organization, being very clear about where you want to go and that people do it giving their best version and feel that they are developing professionally ”
Isidro Loaiza said that it is important to know how to listen to the team, have good training, as well as a goal and be open to mobility. He also stressed that it is important that team management is essential for success and that being resilient, disciplined and with the ability to communicate helps you a lot.
Cristian Caggiano from Movistar+ shared his experience of how he lived through the merger between Moët Chandon and LVMH and stressed the importance of training, since it always opens up new opportunities for you, and he also highlighted that diverse and multicultural teams generate more creative teams.
Lorena also spoke that you have to be resilient and that difficult times are opportunities to prove yourself. She encouraged everyone that there is to go is yes ahead, throw what they throw at you. But she also indicated that you don't do the path alone, but that the people who accompany you are the main asset.
Lastly, the Alumni who made up the round table were asked what the Master they had taken at EAE Business School had brought them. Teresa explained that studying the Master's in Coaching at EAE Business School Madrid changed her life, it was transformative for her. “It has allowed me to carry out an internal transformation process, learn to manage a process of uncertainty for myself and my team. As well as giving and offering a differential value of me as a professional”.
Isidro commented that studying the Master gave him relationships and networking. For Cristian, it was an opportunity to create future value from the relationships he established with his colleagues; Lorena, ability to surprise me every day and Goizader, drive and strength to undertake and bring out the best version of myself.
