Master in Finance students visit Madrid Stock Exchange

On Wednesday, September 14, students of the Master in Finance at EAE Business School Madrid, attended a guided tour of the Madrid Stock Exchange organized by Sofía Ruiz, professor of the subject Financial Derivatives.

The visit was divided into two parts, on the one hand, an expert explained the history of the building visiting the main rooms such as the Salon de los Pasos Perdidos, the Salon de Cotización and the Parquet. They also had the opportunity to walk through the room where auctions or contracting corros were formerly held, now used for events related to listed companies and financial markets.

On the other hand, once the visit was over, the students had a trading session, where they learned how to buy and sell assets on a simulator used for the courses in preparation for the BME Trader's License.

Sofía explained that "the students were delighted to have visited this emblematic building and to have been able to practice in a real market simulator, how market traders carry out their operations, as this allows them to consolidate the knowledge they have been shown in the classes".
