The Graduation Ceremony of EAE Business School Madrid will take place on 27th June at the Madrid Arena
The Executive President of the Board of Directors of Indra, Marc Murtra, will be the patron of the graduating class of the students of EAE Business School Madrid, which belongs to Planeta Formación y Universidades, who will finish their studies in 2024. In total, more than 1,800 students of a wide range of nationalities will graduate from the School’s different Master programs at an event held at the Madrid Arena on 27th June.
The event will be hosted by the news presenter of LaSexta Noticias, Helena Resano, and the journalist from Onda Cero, Carlos Lamelo. Over 5,000 people will attend the ceremony, including students and their families.
MARC MURTRA, EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT OF INDRA
Marc Murtra is the Executive President of the Board of Directors of Indra, as well as President of the Strategy Committee and the Executive Committee.
He is also an independent board member at Ebro Foods, S.A., a member of the Executive Committee and President of the Auditing and Control Committee, whose duties include supervising the ESG department. He is also a board member at Industria de Turbo Propulsores, S.A and a patron of the Fundación Bancaria Caixa d’Estalvis i Pensions de Barcelona “La Caixa”.
Marc Murtra studied Industrial Engineering, majoring in Machinery Mechanics, at the ETSEIB (Barcelona Advanced Technical College of Industrial Engineering) of the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. He also has a Master in Business Administration (MBA), majoring in Finance, from New York University.
He began his career in the nuclear industry at British Nuclear Fuels Ltd in the United Kingdom, before moving to the strategy consultancy DiamondCluster, where he worked with big tech companies.
He spent several years in the civil service, working as a specialist in Digital Strategy, Digital Transformation and Public-Private Partnerships. In this sector, he held the role of Director General at Red.es, as well as being the Director of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of the Spanish Government. At Barcelona City Council, he was the Director of Education, Culture and Wellbeing
In 2011, he returned to the private sector in the investment banking industry. He was the Chairman of Closa Investment Bankers, the leader in the field since 1987. Working as a financial consultant, he has headed several corporate operations in a range of sectors, such as TMT (e-commerce, enterprise software, training, artificial intelligence, video marketing, analytics, fleet management, entertainment, cybersecurity, recruitment, SaaS, audiovisual content production, television, advertising, etc.), Industry (machinery manufacturing, safety equipment, textiles, agri-food, etc.) And Public-Private Partnership (BTR, infrastructures, etc.) with international companies and investors from all over the world.
In the field of education, he is the Associate Professor of Financial Management and Financial Economics, lecturing on the Master of Science in Finance and Banking at the Universidad Pompeu Fabra, as well as teaching students on the Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Management, the Bachelor Degree in Economics and Master programs.
