EAE Solidarity: Reforesting Madrid
EAE Solidarity: Reforesting Madrid
Join us on another of our #EAESolidarity initiatives, this time to mark the International Day of Forests.
Thursday 21st March is the International Day of Forests, and within the context of this special occasion, we invite you to take part in a unique experience that combines, learning, solidarity and environmental action. More than just a one-off opportunity to reforest, the event is a call to action to become agents of environmental change! You will contribute directly to the conservation of our natural resources by planting trees and restoring ecosystems, in view of the fact that environmental sustainability has become one of the key factors in ensuring a fair and healthy future for the generations to come.
So, what does the activity involve?
Participants will take part in a reforestation scheme, planting native trees, bushes and other species of plants in the Nelson Mandela Park in the city of Móstoles. The initiative is organized by the NGO International SEO BirdLife, the biggest global organization specializing in the conservation of birds and nature, with a network of representatives is 121 countries.
Where will we be leaving from?
On 15th March, we will leave the Joaquín Costa 41 Campus at 09:30. A coach will take us to the park where the activity will take place. We hope that you will join us to sow the seeds for the green future that our planet needs! Because this event is not just a single day’s planting, it is the start of a sustainable commitment.
Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing for the activity.
IMPORTANT: Places on this activity are limited and we want to ensure that no trees or bushes are left unplanted. Therefore, it is very important that anyone who signs up is committed to taking part. To be able to confirm your place, after signing up, we will be on contact to arrange for you to pick up the kit that we have prepared for you.
